"Ex" was composed and recorded during the month of February 2021 in an apartment, at home, using a synthesizer, ambient sounds and samplers. It is an album whose concept revolves around a need to disconnect from an incomprehensible environment, which works like a play or theater piece but is given as unique and immovable. The narrative voice is schizophrenic, tripartite - a woman, a child and a kind of future psychopath - in order to exemplify the inner world, the soliloquy of a fed up subject. The texts were written by Sebastián Defranchesco and, most of them, later processed by a dixion program to give a feeling of distance and coldness. Musically, the album dives into atonal harmonic systems, clusters, film score, as in "Eskimo I", or as in the first cut "Actor", based on Skriabin's Prometheus Chord. The influences behind the album are various: Can, Residents, the Argentine band Sumo, David Lynch, Broadcast, PIL, This Heat, and certain reflections and theatrical resources (Grotowski, Artaud, etc.) credits released February 27, 2021 Sebastián Defranchesco is an independent Italian-Argentine artist residing in Buenos Aires. Was the leader and composer of the indie band Amarillo Urbano, releasing three albums and a soundtrack, all with the lo-fi character that it currently maintains. As a soloist, he debuted with the album “Bestiario 10:15” (2015), which was followed by “Doméstico” (2019). His third work, “Trance_únte” (2020), is a selection of instrumentals from the previous two, plus a piece from the soundtrack of the film “Enigma” by Sofía Pérez, and two new songs: “Faustopol” and “Rorschach” , made during 2020. “Trance_únte” is an album that investigates different styles as well sensorial experiments. As an actor, he belongs to the Tésera Teatro company, created by the director and playwright Alejandro Potenza. Together with the actress Marianela Gutierrez, he has starred in different works, including "Los Taylor", written and directed by Potenza and performed during 2019 and the first months of 2020. He has published poetry and other texts in various latinamerican anthologies, as well as in magazines such as "Sudras y Parias" (Chile) and "La Alcazaba" (Spain).
