Felipe De Vicente is the debut album by internationally recognized electronic musician and visual artist Felipe De Vicente. This first full-length electronic release extends his multidisciplinary practice by tightly integrating sound and image: each track directly corresponds to one of his original artworks (for example, ART 146 and ART 155), and every composition bears the same title as its visual counterpart. Sonically, the album moves across an expansive experimental-electronic palette — house, techno, downtempo, ambient, IDM, minimal, drum & bass and drone — focusing on texture, atmosphere and dynamic contrast. Felipe combines synthesizers, sound manipulation, drones and effects to build immersive soundscapes that balance introspection and drive. Beats alternate between asymmetric, glitchy patterns and hypnotic, danceable grooves; silence and negative space are used as active elements to create tension and release. The result is a multimedia listening experience in which tones translate the colors and shapes of his visual work: tracks read as sonic renderings of his artworks, producing a cohesive narrative that moves fluidly between the abstract and the functional. Influenced by figures from Kandinsky’s synesthetic approach to the electronic forebears Ryuichi Sakamoto, Kraftwerk, Autechre and Alva Noto, Felipe’s debut invites listeners to explore a world where image and sound coexist in vibrant, often provocative harmony.
