Palimpsesto

Released as book + 7" object-record. The visual and sound poems were composed based on the statements "I'm here" and "I'm (still) here". During the production of the lathe cut, the grooves of each track on the record were destructively overlapped — as in the process of scraping a palimpsest. The resulting sound stems from this material dynamic. That is, the way in which the morphological characteristics of the pieces impact the materiality of the vinyl and establish patterns of overlapping, cancellation, deconfiguration, etc.
