1tracktape is an independent experimental label established in Greece. Founded in spring 2020 by Greek musician/producer/DJ/archivist Δημήτρης Τσιρώνης (Dimitris Tsironis) aka Melophobia (2). Releases come with catalogue numbers as the dates of New Moon (from April 2020 onwards) and Full Moon (from September 2020 to December 2021). 1tracktape focuses primarily on digital, but also sporadic CDr releases. In 2021, the label launched the collaborative netlabel Default Standard. Α characteristic expression used by the company is "Escape Boredom : obscure music artefacts to decorate time". Series identified with colors are: ◯ new moon series: one new work by one new artist every New Moon date. 🔵 blue series: Greek contemporary sound creators. 🔴 retroflex: lost & found recordings. 🌕 full moon series: thematic compilations. All releases under the "New Moon" refer to the first visible crescent of the moon, after conjunction with the Sun.
