Famous Music (7) was originally the music publishing division of Paramount Pictures and became a label (often appearing as 'Famous G+W') responsible for reissuing mainly country music recordings by Dot Records after the 1968 purchase of Paramount by Gulf+Western. For UK company and publishing credits see Famous Music (UK) Ltd.. The Famous brand also appeared on the Famous Twinsets double LP reissues issued by Paramount Records. Affiliated to ASCAP
