Simple.Normal is a Brazilian project founded in 2004 and based in São Paulo by experimental electronic sound constructor Cleber Gazana. Its sonic works were first showcased at art and electronic language festivals worldwide before being released as digital sound or music. The project's sound construction is deeply contemplative, driven by intuitive decision-making, and heavily reliant on field recordings, obsolete software and media. These elements are captured and transformed using experimental (re)editing techniques and dedicated software and digital processes. The work delves into the intricate relationship between sound, noise, glitch, soundscape, sound art, and the act of listening. Often categorized within the Ambient genre, Simple.Normal’s music seamlessly integrates a wide range of styles, including generic electronic, drone, glitch, experimental, noise, minimal, and industrial.
